Full DNA testing reports, including PWDCA (Portuguese Water Dog Club of America) recommended testing for GM-1, JDCM and PRA EORPA, will be available to puppy parents online at Optimal Selection. The PWDCA recommended testing for Early Onset PRA (EOPRA), and GM1 Gangliosidosis is also recorded with OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) through Optimal Selection. All hips are X-rayed and positioned
correctly to ensure healthy, well formed, bones and joints with no hip health issues.

Our dogs are always given proper nutrition with the highest quality food. Still, when expecting a litter, the girls are adequately supplemented during all stages of the reproductive cycle to ensure the good health and growth of their newborn puppies. X-rays are taken between 52-60 days, so we're sure to know when the last puppy is delivered (see below).
