A Few Tips on How to recognize and avoid scams

1. Pushing for an immediate deposit.
They'll often press you to "send money today or lose the puppy."
They'll often only accept non-traceable payment methods (cashApp, Venmo, wire transfers)
.

2. Unrealistically Low Prices
Purebred, healthy, purposefully-bred puppies listed for far lower than average prices are a red flag.

3. Stock or Stolen Photos
Pictures don't match the breeder's home environment.
A reverse image search often shows the same picture on multiple sites.

4. No Proof of Parents or Puppies
Refuses to do video calls, live FaceTime, or provide recent videos with date verification.

5. No Health Testing or Transparency
Avoids questions about health history
Gives vague answers like "all puppies are healthy, no problems."

6. Poor Communication
Uses broken English or oddly formed language
Dodges direct questions and repeats generic sales pitches

7. Website or Social Media Red Flags
Website is new, sloppy, or filled with copied content.
Social Media accounts have no engagement, or stolen posts.

8. Always verify the website's URL
Look for .com versions. Be cautious when clicking links or websites that end in .de, .pl, or random characters.

9. Cross check images
You can use reverse image search in google.

If something doesn't feel right or seems too good to be true, dig deeper. Talk at length with the person or people raising the dogs and puppies.  They should be proud of their program and have nothing to hide.
That being said, keep in mind, raising puppies the right way is a full time job.
From round the clock feedings and cleanings, to socialization, updating photos and videos, chatting with families, assessing puppies for the best match, and making sure that not only each puppy but the rest of the family is thriving, our days and sometimes nights are very full.
Because of this, we may not always be able to respond right away or provide every single update, photo, or video exactly when requested.
Please know that your puppy is receiving constant care, love, and attention, and that will always come first.
Take Care, Jenn
