Some dogs become beloved companions. Others become life-changing partners.
At Portie Club, we are honored to have our puppies go on to serve families in extraordinary ways.
Whether alerting to dangerous blood sugar changes like our professionally trained type 1 diabetic service dogs, providing emotional support, assisting with daily tasks, or offering unwavering companionship, our service dogs are raised with one purpose in mind, to give someone greater confidence, independence, and peace of mind.
Every future service dog begins with an exceptional foundation. From the day they are born, our puppies receive constant love, careful handling, and intentional socialization.
They are introduced to new sights, sounds, textures, people, and experiences while developing confidence, resilience, and the stable temperament required for advanced training. Their health, nutrition, and emotional well-being are priorities every step of the way.
We are equally committed to the health and integrity of our breeding program. All parent dogs are extensively health tested and OFA certified to ensure they meet the highest standards for structure, genetics, and overall wellness. Rather than listing each test here, we invite you to visit each dog’s individual page, where you can review their complete health testing results and certifications.
Puppies selected for this path are handpicked based on temperament, confidence, focus, resilience, intelligence, and their natural desire to work alongside people.
These qualities are carefully evaluated before a puppy is considered for advanced training.
We are proud to partner with professional trainer Alexa of Meraki K9, whose patience, expertise, and dedication have helped transform our puppies into exceptional service dogs. Together, we share the same commitment to raising and training dogs that families can trust with life’s most important moments.
On this page, you’ll meet the remarkable dogs already changing lives, as well as the promising puppies currently preparing to begin their own service dog journeys. Every story is a reminder of what can happen when thoughtful breeding, purposeful raising, and expert training come together.
If you’re interested in learning more about our service dog program or would like to explore whether a Portie Club puppy may be the right fit for your family, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to contact either Jenn at Portie Club or our training partner, Alexa at Meraki K9, and we’ll be happy to guide you through the process.

Meet our working Type 1 Diabetes Service Dogs and their families
Purpose In Progress
Our service and therapy dogs begins with a single, carefully chosen puppy.
The puppies featured here have been handpicked for their exceptional temperament, confidence, intelligence, resilience, and natural desire to work alongside people.
They are now continuing their journey through professional training, where their unique abilities are being nurtured and refined. While each puppy’s path is different, they all share one common purpose, to one day provide comfort, independence, confidence, and life-changing support to the individuals and families who will depend on them.
